Wassail


2 1/4 cups sugar               1 can (6 oz) lemonade concentrate
4 cups water                      1 can (6 oz) frozen orange juice concentrate
10 whole cloves                 1 gallon apple cider
2 sticks cinnamon              a few drops red food coloring
Small piece of ginger root (Grandma just puts in a small amount of ground ginger)
   Make a simple syrup of sugar and water.  Bring to a boil.  Add cloves, cinnamon and
ginger root.  Steam for 1 hour.  Add frozen lemonade and orange juice concentriates
and amount of water called for.  Add apple cider and red food coloring.  Serve hot.
   Makes 2 gallons.

FUDGE CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES


1 c. butter
2 eggs
1/2 c. sugar
2 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
2/3 c. cocoa powder
3/4 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
2 c. chocolate chips
Cream together butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla. Combine dry ingredients in seperate bowl. Slowly add to wet mixture. Stir in chocolate chips.
Bake  8-10 min at 350 degrees.

Honey Biscuits

2 Cups Flower
4 Tsp Baking powder
1/2 Tsp Salt
1 Tsp Sugar
1 Tsp Cream of Tarter
1/2 Cup shortening ( butter works too)
2/3cup whole milk ( I used 2% and it was fine)
1/4 Cup butter, melted
1/3 Cup honey


Pre Heat oven to 450*F
Mix Flower, Baking powder< salt, sugar, and cream of tarter in a medium bowl
Work the shortening into the flower mixture with your fingers till it is well mixed ( should feel kinda like corn meal)
Pour in milk and mix well
Turn out on a lightly flowered surface and knead dough about 12-15 times
Make dough into two inch balls and place on a cookie sheet (or you can put them in a muffin pan)
Brush balls lightly with butter and place in oven. Cook for 10-12 Min or until golden brown.
Mean while melt remaining butter and honey and set aside. 
When biscuits are done immediately brush with honey butter.
( I took a tooth pic and poked holes in the biscuits and let some of the honey butter soak in)

Chocolate Crincke Cookies


2 cups sugar
3/4 cup vegetable oil
3/4 cup hershey's
cocoa powder
4 eggs
2 tsp vanilla extract
2 1/3 cups all-purpose flour
2 tsp
baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
powdered sugar



in a large mixing bowl, combine sugar & oil. add cocoa; blend well. beat in eggs and vanilla. combine flour, baking powder & salt; add to cocoa mixture blending well. cover; chill at least 6 hours. heat oven to 350. shape dough into 1 inch balls. roll in powdered sugar. place 2 inches apart on greased cookie sheet. bake 12 to 14 minutes or until almost no indentation remains when touched. remove from cookie sheet; cool on wire rack. makes 4 dozen.

Oreo cookies!




1 Devils Food Cake Mix
2 Eggs
1/2 cup oil
Mix ingredients together. Roll into balls. Bake at 350 degrees for 8 - 10 minutes or
until they start to crack. Cool and put two cookies together with Icing.
Icing:
4 oz. Cream Cheese 2 teaspoons butter
Powdered Sugar 1 teaspoon Vanilla
Mix all ingredients, mix enough powdered sugar until thick. Ice cookies.

Lasagne

1 lb hamb
1/2 lb sausage
half an onion
1 jar spaghetti sauce ( I like Prego)

Lasagne noodles
15 oz ricotta or cottage cheese
1 lb grated mozzarella cheese (I use the bags that have 4cups shredded and measured)
2 oz Parmesan cheese
2 eggs
1 Tbs Parsley
1 tsp salt
1/2 to 1 tsp pepper
1tsp italian seasoning


boil noodles. Brown meats and onion and drain fat, add spaghetti sauce and keep warm.
Mix cottage cheese, half the mozzarella, the parmesan, eggs, salt, pepper, parsley, and italian seasoning.
put a little spaghetti sauce in the bottom of a 9x13 baking dish then layer noodles, then 1/3 cheese mix then 1/3 meat sauce mix then repeat till its all gone! top with remaining mozzarella and bake for 30-45 min till hot though middle.
